If the software does not work, or it breaks something, the solution is to uninstall it.
- Download Microsoft PowerToys and install it on your laptop
- Open PowerToys and select keyboard manager in the left sidebar
- Select Remap a Key from the menu
- Select the Plus (+) under the Physical Key
- Select Type and press the key you would like to use for the mapping
- Now map the key you need under "Mapped To" by clicking on Type and pressing the key to be mapped
(if it is a Combination Key, make sure to hold the Fn key + the key you need to map).
Example of setting Page Up to F9. Under "Physical Key" Click on Type and Press the "F9" key.
Under "Mapped To" click on Type and Press "Page Up" (Fn + Up for newer keyboards)
- To remap more keys, click on the Plus (+) and follow steps 5 and 6 and click OK to save changes.
Tip: To reset the key to its default, return to this screen and select the Trashcan icon beside the entry and click OK on top
