It is important the Helpdesk technicians have a copy of the original email so that we can trace back where the email originated from. There are 2 ways you can report a suspicious email to the Helpdesk.

  1. The preferred method is to use the Outlook app that allows you to automatically report a phishing attempt to the IT support team.  From any message click on the button in the toolbar that says "Phish Alert Report".



  2. Using this app to submit to report a phishing message will create a support ticket with the necessary information and move the message to your deleted items folder.

From Your Cell Phone:


You can also report suspicious emails from your phone using the Outlook app for Android or iOS:
  1. Click on the email and select the  3 vertical or horizontal dots depending on the platform as seen below:


  2. Then proceed to select the Phish Alert icon

When using the Outlook desktop client or phone app, if the message you receive is one of our simulated phishing emails, you will briefly see a "Congratulations" message at the bottom of the screen for successfully reporting a simulated phishing email.
