The “Time Travel” feature in Snowflake is set to 30 days of retention.

That means Using Time Travel, you can perform the following actions within a 30 day window:

  • Query data in the past that has since been updated or deleted.
  • Create clones of entire tables, schemas, and databases at or before specific points in the past.
  • Restore tables, schemas, and databases that have been dropped.

Data recovery becomes difficult or impossible after 30 days have past the data changing or being deleted.
